Aria is a sweet and playful girl! She was at the St. Thomas VI Humane Society for over a year and came to Pet Search in September. She is a Plott hound mix, about 5 years old and 47lbs. She needs a playmate and a family that can continue to work on her leash training and impulse control (e.g., sitting, not jumping on people). We also recommend a fenced yard or energetic family (no young children) that will walk & play with her regularly. Aria is both spayed, crate-trained, fully vaccinated, 4DX tested and microchipped. Izzy is a 4 year old female brindle shepherd mix that was recently returned to Pet Search. Izzy was adopted from Pet Search as a young pup in 2021, but was returned because we were told she was having issues with a small dog who was also living in the same house. Izzy loves to be with her people and is very gentle with children if all ages. She loves doing zoomies in the yard, is awesome with playing ball and walks well on a leash. Her favorite pastime is going for rides in the car! She is housebroken and crate trained.
Izzy is spayed, current on vaccines, on flea and heartworm preventative and microchipped. Because of her “past history we will only place Izzy in a home with no small animals (dogs or. cats)
This sweet, loving girl is around 50 pounds and would love to be in your home. Izzy is good with other dogs, but a meet and greet with any dogs is recommended!

Tuna is a 5.5 year old lab/terrier mix surrendered by his owner and spent 6 months in the Shelter in St Thomas before coming to Pet Search. He is medium size, weighing around 45 pounds of energy and love! He is neutered, fully vaccinated, 4DX tested and negative and microchipped. He is good with other dogs his size, but prefers female dogs over males and can be a little too high energy for cats and very young children. Hello, my name is Pickles , I’m kind of a big dill… I came all the way from St Thomas, I’m approximately 4 years old weighing 20 pounds. My life has not been good to me, I was living on the streets and people were not nice to me . In my foster home I love the other dogs,big and small, I’m just not sure of the human
I am fully vaccinated, neutered & Microchiped.i will require a fenced in yard, my foster Mom says I’m a flight risk !!!
( I really hope I’m not on another flight I was really scared) I like my on the ground.

Have you seen Jodi and Vienna yet? Don’t let Jodi’s size fool you, he is a shy and loving boy. Jodi and Vienna came with a transport rescue from St. Thomas; they took a long time to get used to their foster home. With patients and love Jodi has come out of his shell. Once Jodi feels safe will become a love bug. Vienna is still very shy but cannot get enough of his brother Jodi. Jodi loves his brothers and we think both will thrive in a calm home together.
Both are neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, fiv/felv negative and flea treated. Would you be able to help make these boys feel safe?

Prince lost his home and family after a house fire… the family relocated and left him behind. Neighbors were caring for him, knowing his family were unable to take him back. Prince is a 4 year old collie/shepherd mix weighing 44 pounds. Prince, since coming to Pet Search, is fully vetted- vaccinations, wormed and flea treated, neutered, 4DX tested and microchipped. He has shown to be good with female dogs at this time but has shown reactiveness to cats. He is becoming accustomed to crate training. Since coming to Pet Search we have seen him come out of his shell. Young children/toddlers and fast movements make him nervous.

Meet handsome Lamar….this 2.5 year old plott hound/lab mix is 72 pounds of sweetness!
He was picked up as a stray in St Thomas in February 2022 and spent months in the shelter where he shut down, not wanting to eat, walk or play. Neil, a volunteer at the shelter, fostered him and loved him until Neil left the island to work stateside. Instead of placing Lamar back in the shelter, the Pets With Wings Program brought him to Pet Search!
Lamar loves other dogs and will thrive with a fur-sibling or two! and once he becomes comfortable, he will join and play, almost to the point of exhaustion! Lamar is very skittish when first meeting people and will bark out of anxiety, and will back away. After several weeks in foster care, he is warming up to his foster parents. Lamar needs time to adjust to new surroundings and will have accidents while feeling comfortable. He loves to sleep in bed or on a sofa, but is crate trained also. Lamar has shown no reactiveness to cats and would be a great playmate for older children due to his size and weight.

Brenda is a very shy 2-year-old girl who comes all the way from St. Thomas. She is still getting used to her new foster family and is in transition. We know once Brenda warms up, she is going to brighten everyone’s day!
