One of our long term foster… Tuna has been with Pet Search for over 4 years! Please share to help him find a home of his own!

Tuna is a 5.5 year old lab/terrier mix surrendered by his owner and spent 6 months in the Shelter in St Thomas before coming to Pet Search. He is medium size, weighing around 45 pounds of energy and love! He is neutered, fully vaccinated, 4DX tested and negative and microchipped. He is good with other dogs his size, but prefers female dogs over males and can be a little too high energy for cats and very young children. Hello, my name is Pickles , I’m kind of a big dill… I came all the way from St Thomas, I’m approximately 4 years old weighing 20 pounds. My life has not been good to me, I was living on the streets and people were not nice to me . In my foster home I love the other dogs,big and small, I’m just not sure of the human
I am fully vaccinated, neutered & Microchiped.i will require a fenced in yard, my foster Mom says I’m a flight risk !!!
( I really hope I’m not on another flight I was really scared) I like my on the ground.

Prince lost his home and family after a house fire… the family relocated and left him behind. Neighbors were caring for him, knowing his family were unable to take him back. Prince is a 4 year old collie/shepherd mix weighing 44 pounds. Prince, since coming to Pet Search, is fully vetted- vaccinations, wormed and flea treated, neutered, 4DX tested and microchipped. He has shown to be good with female dogs at this time but has shown reactiveness to cats. He is becoming accustomed to crate training. Since coming to Pet Search we have seen him come out of his shell. Young children/toddlers and fast movements make him nervous.

Hi my name is Christine, a Vizla / lab mix. I came all the way from St. Thomas to find my forever home. My foster Mom calls me Crickett. My name should have been < the energizer bunny >I’m 3 years old spayed Microchiped vaccinated & 4DX tested.
I’m an active girl, who needs an active family I jump, hop and bounce. I’m a little shy at first but warm up fairly quick. I need a little work on manners , I was found as a stray so all I know is shelter life . A FENCED YARD would be perfect to burn off my energy.

Aria is a sweet and playful girl! She was at the St. Thomas VI Humane Society for over a year and came to Pet Search in September. She is a Plott hound mix, about 5 years old and 47lbs. She needs a playmate and a family that can continue to work on her leash training and impulse control (e.g., sitting, not jumping on people). We also recommend a fenced yard or energetic family (no young children) that will walk & play with her regularly. Aria is both spayed, crate-trained, fully vaccinated, 4DX tested and microchipped. Meet handsome Lamar….this 2.5 year old plott hound/lab mix is 72 pounds of sweetness!
He was picked up as a stray in St Thomas in February 2022 and spent months in the shelter where he shut down, not wanting to eat, walk or play. Neil, a volunteer at the shelter, fostered him and loved him until Neil left the island to work stateside. Instead of placing Lamar back in the shelter, the Pets With Wings Program brought him to Pet Search!
Lamar loves other dogs and will thrive with a fur-sibling or two! and once he becomes comfortable, he will join and play, almost to the point of exhaustion! Lamar is very skittish when first meeting people and will bark out of anxiety, and will back away. After several weeks in foster care, he is warming up to his foster parents. Lamar needs time to adjust to new surroundings and will have accidents while feeling comfortable. He loves to sleep in bed or on a sofa, but is crate trained also. Lamar has shown no reactiveness to cats and would be a great playmate for older children due to his size and weight.

Georgie was found as a stray and taken to a high kill dog pound in West Virginia… Pet Search was contacted and asked if we could rescue him, which we happily did! Georgie is a 7 year old treeing walker coonhound weighing around 55 pounds. He is very lovable and playful and would do well with a family that has older children because of his size. Georgie is housebroken and crate trained but needs to get acclimated to a new schedule. He is fine with larger dogs but has not been cat tested
