Brenda is a very shy 2-year-old girl who comes all the way from St. Thomas. She is still getting used to her new foster family and is in transition. We know once Brenda warms up, she is going to brighten everyone’s day!

Meet handsome Lamar….this 2.5 year old plott hound/lab mix is 72 pounds of sweetness!
He was picked up as a stray in St Thomas in February 2022 and spent months in the shelter where he shut down, not wanting to eat, walk or play. Neil, a volunteer at the shelter, fostered him and loved him until Neil left the island to work stateside. Instead of placing Lamar back in the shelter, the Pets With Wings Program brought him to Pet Search!
Lamar loves other dogs and will thrive with a fur-sibling or two! and once he becomes comfortable, he will join and play, almost to the point of exhaustion! Lamar is very skittish when first meeting people and will bark out of anxiety, and will back away. After several weeks in foster care, he is warming up to his foster parents. Lamar needs time to adjust to new surroundings and will have accidents while feeling comfortable. He loves to sleep in bed or on a sofa, but is crate trained also. Lamar has shown no reactiveness to cats and would be a great playmate for older children due to his size and weight.

Have you seen Jodi and Vienna yet? Don’t let Jodi’s size fool you, he is a shy and loving boy. Jodi and Vienna came with a transport rescue from St. Thomas; they took a long time to get used to their foster home. With patients and love Jodi has come out of his shell. Once Jodi feels safe will become a love bug. Vienna is still very shy but cannot get enough of his brother Jodi. Jodi loves his brothers and we think both will thrive in a calm home together.
Both are neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, fiv/felv negative and flea treated. Would you be able to help make these boys feel safe?

Looking for a sweet laid back kitty? Pearlina is the girl for you. She is a beautiful petite 2 year old little girl who is partial to soft belly rubs and loves lounging on the cat tree watching the birds outside. Pearlina is affectionate, playful and gets along great with other cats and with dogs. Pearlina is utd on vaccinations, spayed and FIV/FELV negative.

Newton (9/15/19) arrived at Pet Search with littermates in March 2020- they were 6 months old. His littermates were adopted, but Newton never had much interest from possible adopters. Newton is neutered, felv/FIV negative and vaccinated. He was raised in a foster home with dogs and cats. Newton is a lover on his terms, so patience is needed with this handsome boy. Pet Search took all 3, who were semi-feral, and worked with them to overcome fear and people. Baby Boy and Baby Girl are both sweet and friendly and ready adoption; Mom is almost ready. Baby Boy is good with both dogs and cats and would do better in a home with at least one other cat.

Koda/Varley came to Pet Search in February 2020 as a 12 week old puppy from St Thomas. He was quickly adopted, but then returned to pet search 6 months later. He was a "different pup… a little apprehensive of men. The foster family worked with Koda on trusting men and he was adopted again in May 2021.
Koda was returned to Pet Search again because of issues with men and we have been working diligently with training to get him past this hurdle. Koda is 2.5 years old (birthdate 11/1/19) and can be very loving. He loves women and is very responsive to them, but needs a little time to warm up to a man that is soft spoken and will be patient. Koda is better with female dogs that are passive and a little smaller than him and older children. He is housebroken but will have an accident in his crate sometimes. With patience and understanding, Koda will make a great dog for a single woman or a Couple/family with a quieter lifestyle.

Our owner couldnt take care of us any longer so we were surrendered to a shelter in West Virginia . Pet Search brought us into their care. We aren’t fond of other dogs,WE WANT ALL THE ATTENTION

Georgie was found as a stray and taken to a high kill dog pound in West Virginia… Pet Search was contacted and asked if we could rescue him, which we happily did! Georgie is a 7 year old treeing walker coonhound weighing around 55 pounds. He is very lovable and playful and would do well with a family that has older children because of his size. Georgie is housebroken and crate trained but needs to get acclimated to a new schedule. He is fine with larger dogs but has not been cat tested
