Daisy

Meet Daisy: A Gentle Soul Waiting for Her Quiet Plac
Daisy is a 5-year-old Bichon Poodle mix with the softest curls and the most soulful eyes. Her journey hasn’t been the easiest; she comes to us from an Amish background, and as a result, the big, wide world feels very overwhelming to her right now.
A Little About Daisy
Daisy is a “quiet observer.” Because she hasn’t had much experience with the comforts of a typical home, everything—from the sound of a television to the hum of a vacuum—is new and a bit frightening to her. She is exceptionally shy and scared, often preferring to tuck herself away in a safe corner until she feels certain that she is out of harm’s way.
The Perfect Match
Daisy isn’t looking for a high-energy lifestyle or a busy household. Instead, she is searching for a patient, gentle soul who understands that trust isn’t built in a day, but rather in a series of small, quiet moments.
Daisy’s Wish List:

• A Quiet Environment: A calm home without a lot of foot traffic or loud noises will help her feel secure.

• A Patient Companion: Someone who won’t push her to be “brave” before she’s ready, but who will sit nearby and let her move at her own pace.

• Understanding: A family or individual who celebrates the “small wins”—like the first time she takes a treat from your hand or wagging her tail when you walk into the room.

Why Adopt Daisy?
Adopting a dog like Daisy is a deeply rewarding experience. There is nothing quite like the feeling of a dog who was once terrified finally deciding that you are their “safe person.” Once Daisy knows she is loved and protected, her true personality will begin to shine through.
Are you the person who can give Daisy the time and space she needs to flourish?

dulce

Dulce

Dulce is a 14-week-old female puppy who is every bit as sweet as her name suggests. While she might start off a little quiet, her journey from shy observer to playful companion is a joy to witness.
Her Personality
Dulce is a “thinker.” When she meets new people or enters new environments, she prefers to take it all in from a safe distance first. She is looking for a patient family who understands that the best things in life are worth waiting for. Once she feels secure and realizes she is safe, her true puppy spirit shines through.
What She Loves
• Other Dogs: Dulce finds her confidence through her canine friends! She absolutely loves the company of other dogs and relies on them to show her the ropes.
• Toys: Whether it’s a plushie to snuggle or a squeaker to chase, toys are the way to this girl’s heart.
• Quiet Moments: She appreciates a calm environment where she can blossom at her own pace.
The Ideal Home
Dulce would thrive in a home with another confident dog to help her navigate the world. She needs a family committed to positive reinforcement and “slow and steady” introductions. Because she is young and still learning, she will need a home ready for puppy training, socialization, and plenty of snuggle time.

Sassy

Meet Sassy: A Sweet Soul Looking for Her Brave Companion
Sassy is a 5-month-old pit mixed who is currently looking for a patient heart to call her own. While her name suggests a bold personality, Sassy is actually a gentle, observant girl who finds the big world a little bit daunting right now. She is in the beautiful “learning to trust” phase of her life, where every small victory—a tail wag, a hand sniff, or a brave step forward—is a cause for celebration.
### Her Ideal Home
Sassy isn’t looking for a high-traffic, loud environment. Instead, she dreams of a sanctuary where she can blossom at her own speed.
• The Power of a Pack: Sassy requires a home with another confident, friendly dog. She relies heavily on “social buffering,” looking to her canine siblings to show her that humans are kind and that the vacuum cleaner isn’t actually a monster.
• Patience is Key: Her new family should understand that “trust is earned, not given.” She needs humans who are happy to sit on the floor with her, offer treats without pressure, and let her initiate contact.
• Training with Love: Because she is young and shy, positive reinforcement training will be her best friend. Building her confidence through fun, low-stress games will help her realize just how capable she is.
### What to Expect
When you first bring Sassy home, she may spend some time tucked away in a quiet corner. But with a steady routine and a furry mentor by her side, you’ll slowly start to see the “Sassy” hidden beneath the shyness.

“She may be small and quiet now, but the bond you build with a shy dog is one of the deepest connections you will ever experience.”

Mavis

Mavis (8/25/24) is a sweet gentle silver tabby that was someone’s family pet. That “someone” dropped off this beautiful girl at one of the pavilions in our local community park during the snow storms and subzero temperature in February 2026. When we were alerted and went to pick her up, her one ear was frostbit. Several days later, the majority of her ear fell off. It does not affect her hearing at all and definitely her wonderful personality.
Mavis is felv/fiv negative, vaccinated and she had been spayed by a previous owner. She is ready for a family that will love and cherish her and protect her from the elements. She is dog and cat friendly.
