Brenda is a shy girl that was with a rescue transport from St. Thomas. Brenda will be best in a home that is slow paced and has another timid cat. She will come out of her shell when the house is quiet and has some things to say.
Brenda is spayed, vaccinated, micro chipped, fiv/felv negative and flea treated. Could you help this girl become her best self?
Aria is a sweet and playful girl! She was at the St. Thomas VI Humane Society for over a year and came to Pet Search in September. She is a Plott hound mix, about 5 years old and 47lbs. She needs a playmate and a family that can continue to work on her leash training and impulse control (e.g., sitting, not jumping on people). We also recommend a fenced yard or energetic family (no young children) that will walk & play with her regularly. Aria is both spayed, crate-trained, fully vaccinated, 4DX tested and microchipped. She has been diagnosed with heartworm. Pet Search will cover the cost of her treatment, if brought to us after adoption. Applications available at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog.
Pet Search limits our adoption area to a 2.5 hour drive of Pittsburgh.

Meet Rebel! This gorgeous, talkative calico loves to share her opinions—and she’ll gladly remind you when it’s time for attention and affection.
Born December 21, 2022 in St. Thomas, Rebel arrived at Pet Search as a scared, shy little girl. With time and patience, she’s blossomed into a curious, confident companion who isn’t afraid to “demand” a little love (in the sweetest way).
Rebel would do well in a home that enjoys an affectionate cat with a big personality.
Gets along with other cats
Gets along with dogs (has been around small and medium-sized dogs and doesn’t mind them at all)
Doesn’t mind an active home with other fur kids
Spayed and up to date on vaccinations
Please consider giving this lovely lady a chance. Applications can be found at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Cat or petsearchpa.org
Newton (9/15/19) arrived at Pet Search with littermates in March 2020- they were 6 months old. His littermates were adopted, but Newton never had much interest from possible adopters. Newton is neutered, felv/FIV negative and vaccinated. He was raised in a foster home with dogs and cats. Newton is a lover on his terms, so patience is needed with this handsome boy. What the power of love and compassion can do…
Baby Boy, his sister Baby Girl, and Mom were brought to Pet Search in August of 2018. They were being cared for by a family in Brownsville who were cited for caring for outside cats. Pet Search took all 3, who were semi-feral, and worked with them to overcome fear and people. Baby Boy and Baby Girl are both sweet and friendly and ready adoption; Mom is almost ready. Baby Boy is good with both dogs and cats and would do better in a home with at least one other cat.

Koda/Varley came to Pet Search in February 2020 as a 12 week old puppy from St Thomas. He was quickly adopted, but then returned to pet search 6 months later. He was a "different pup… a little apprehensive of men. The foster family worked with Koda on trusting men and he was adopted again in May 2021.
Koda was returned to Pet Search again because of issues with men and we have been working diligently with training to get him past this hurdle. Koda is 2.5 years old (birthdate 11/1/19) and can be very loving. He loves women and is very responsive to them, but needs a little time to warm up to a man that is soft spoken and will be patient. Koda is better with female dogs that are passive and a little smaller than him and older children. He is housebroken but will have an accident in his crate sometimes. With patience and understanding, Koda will make a great dog for a single woman or a Couple/family with a quieter lifestyle.

Georgie was found as a stray and taken to a high kill dog pound in West Virginia… Pet Search was contacted and asked if we could rescue him, which we happily did! Georgie is a 7 year old treeing walker coonhound weighing around 55 pounds. He is very lovable and playful and would do well with a family that has older children because of his size. Georgie is housebroken and crate trained but needs to get acclimated to a new schedule. He is fine with larger dogs but has not been cat tested
Georgie is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. Applications s are available at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog or petsearchpa.org
