Prince

Prince lost his home and family after a house fire… the family relocated and left him behind. Neighbors were caring for him, knowing his family were unable to take him back. Prince is a 4 year old collie/shepherd mix weighing 44 pounds. Prince, since coming to Pet Search, is fully vetted- vaccinations, wormed and flea treated, neutered, 4DX tested and microchipped. He has shown to be good with female dogs at this time but has shown reactiveness to cats. He is becoming accustomed to crate training. Since coming to Pet Search we have seen him come out of his shell. Young children/toddlers and fast movements make him nervous.

Hi my name is Christine, a Vizla / lab mix. I came all the way from St. Thomas to find my forever home. My foster Mom calls me Crickett. My name should have been < the energizer bunny >I’m 3 years old spayed Microchiped vaccinated & 4DX tested.
I’m an active girl, who needs an active family I jump, hop and bounce. I’m a little shy at first but warm up fairly quick. I need a little work on manners , I was found as a stray so all I know is shelter life . A FENCED YARD would be perfect to burn off my energy.

LAMAR

Meet handsome Lamar….this 2.5 year old plott hound/lab mix is 72 pounds of sweetness!
He was picked up as a stray in St Thomas in February 2022 and spent months in the shelter where he shut down, not wanting to eat, walk or play. Neil, a volunteer at the shelter, fostered him and loved him until Neil left the island to work stateside. Instead of placing Lamar back in the shelter, the Pets With Wings Program brought him to Pet Search!
Lamar loves other dogs and will thrive with a fur-sibling or two! and once he becomes comfortable, he will join and play, almost to the point of exhaustion! Lamar is very skittish when first meeting people and will bark out of anxiety, and will back away. After several weeks in foster care, he is warming up to his foster parents. Lamar needs time to adjust to new surroundings and will have accidents while feeling comfortable. He loves to sleep in bed or on a sofa, but is crate trained also. Lamar has shown no reactiveness to cats and would be a great playmate for older children due to his size and weight.

Have you seen Jodi and Vienna yet? Don’t let Jodi’s size fool you, he is a shy and loving boy. Jodi and Vienna came with a transport rescue from St. Thomas; they took a long time to get used to their foster home. With patients and love Jodi has come out of his shell. Once Jodi feels safe will become a love bug. Vienna is still very shy but cannot get enough of his brother Jodi. Jodi loves his brothers and we think both will thrive in a calm home together.

Aria

Aria is a sweet and playful girl! She was at the St. Thomas VI Humane Society for over a year and came to Pet Search in September. She is a Plott hound mix, about 5 years old and 47lbs. She needs a playmate and a family that can continue to work on her leash training and impulse control (e.g., sitting, not jumping on people). We also recommend a fenced yard or energetic family (no young children) that will walk & play with her regularly. Aria is both spayed, crate-trained, fully vaccinated, 4DX tested and microchipped. Born December 21, 2022 in St. Thomas, Rebel arrived at Pet Search as a scared, shy little girl. With time and patience, she’s blossomed into a curious, confident companion who isn’t afraid to “demand” a little love (in the sweetest way).

Rebel would do well in a home that enjoys an affectionate cat with a big personality.

Newton

Newton (9/15/19) arrived at Pet Search with littermates in March 2020- they were 6 months old. His littermates were adopted, but Newton never had much interest from possible adopters. Baby Boy

What the power of love and compassion can do…
Baby Boy, his sister Baby Girl, and Mom were brought to Pet Search in August of 2018. They were being cared for by a family in Brownsville who were cited for caring for outside cats. Pet Search took all 3, who were semi-feral, and worked with them to overcome fear and people. Baby Boy and Baby Girl are both sweet and friendly and ready adoption; Mom is almost ready. Baby Boy is good with both dogs and cats and would do better in a home with at least one other cat.
