Talbot-Senior-Male

Talbot was picked up as a stray in late August by the Braddock police and taken to animal control. He was released to Pet Search under a medical stray hold because Talbot was dragging his back legs and a vet appointment was scheduled immediately. X-rays confirmed that Talbot had a broken back and that is was an old injury, but definitely did not hamper his ability to get around!
Talbot obviously did not have the best previous life, having not only a broken back but also a missing eye.
Talbot is an 8-10 year old shih tzu weighing 9.5 pounds. He is so affectionate, loves snuggling, “running” through the yard using his wheelchair (thanks to the generosity of Joey’s Paw) or by scooting using his body strength to drag his back legs). With patience, Talbot will adjust to your schedule regarding his potty skills. He adores other dogs and loves to play with them; he thinks cats are awesome too, as he is the same size as many cats. Talbot is now neutered, 4 DX tested and is finishing up his treatment for Lyme’s, microchipped and fully vaccinated.
Talbot has had a very rough unknown past history, but we can guarantee that he will not need or want for anything now! This little man deserves the most loving home because he has so much love to give! If you think you can fit into Talbot’s life, please submit an application❤️
