This handsome, happy ☺️ boy is MOOSE….He came into a shelter in central Florida in February with two other dogs. This poor boy had lived his entire life outside, weighed down by very heavy chains. His owners did not have much and Moose went without food on several occasions, surviving the best he could off of the table scraps they brought him. Moose had a hard life and needs to learn how to simply “be a dog.” He needs to learn some manners and appropriate reactions; we’ve been working with him and he’s been doing great with us. He is high energy and can get over stimulated at times. He needs time and patience (and understanding) and someone committed to working with him and providing positive training. Because of his high energy, we recommend a home with children over the age of 10 and at this time be an only pet.
He is young, only 3-years-old, 52 pounds, and neutered. He is heartworm positive and has started his treatment, will is covered by Pet Search.
Pet Search was able to rescue this sweetheart with the help of United Paws Rescue and Pilots and Paws days before he was scheduled of euthanization … his life matters and he deserves a chance for a better life.
